High above Gloucester and the Severn Plain

Friday September 14 @ 8:00 am - Saturday September 15 @ 5:00 pm

This is not a F H Harvey Society organised event – but may be of interest to members.

The Musical Brain, in collaboration with The Ivor Gurney Society, is presenting Ivor Gurney: High above Gloucester and the Severn Plain, two days of walks, talks, discussions and concerts, exploring and celebrating Gurney’s life and work.

The two days will be led by broadcaster, writer and composer Stephen Johnson and Gurney scholar Eleanor Rawling, with James Gilchrist and Anna Tilbrook performing in the concerts on both evenings.  The talks and concerts will be held in the Ivor Gurney Hall. There are places available at the event both for walkers and non-walkers.    The concert on the first day includes Gurney’s setting of In Flanders.
